District Hardware and the Bike Shop
Posted on Nov 22nd 2010 | Bike Life, Blog,In what I hope will become a regular blog topic, I sent out a request for Planet Bike dealers to get in touch for a bit of a profile. The first to respond was Jarrett over at District Hardware and the Bike Shop in Washington D.C.
District Hardware and the Bike Shop has been in business since 1971. That’s almost 40 years! A shop with that kind of longevity must know what they’re doing. The combination hardware store/bike shop has a staff of nine and caters to a wide variety of cyclists.
Their favorite (and one of their best selling) products is our Cascadia Hybrid/Touring fenders. I can imagine they come in handy during those slushy, snowy winter months.
When I asked Jarrett for a tip he could offer up to commuters, he wrote “bikes have utility value regardless of what you spend on it, so lock it up properly and at all times! It WILL get stripped or stolen in DC.” Unfortunately, the same can be said for just about any city across the world.
If you’re in the DC area, you can get your Planet Bike products at District Hardware and the Bike Shop located at: 1108 24th St NW Washington DC 20037
If your shop would like to get featured on our blog, please email infoATwww.planetbike.com.
