Sunday Muddy Sunday
Posted on Nov 24th 2009 | Bike Life, Blog,With the domestic cyclocross season winding down, the Planet Bike cyclocross team is showing stunning form. PB employees/team members Kristin Wentworth and James LaLonde, along with teammates Linda Sone and Kaitie Antonneau headed to the North Carolina GP in Hendersonville last weekend. The women started off a dominating weekend on the dry powercourse. Kristin battled back and forth all day with one other racer, outwitting and out powering her to the finish line for her first career UCI win! Linda and Kaitie weren’t far behind in 3rd and 4th. James battled through some sickness to finish the day in 12th.
Day two in Hendersonville brought the same course but vastly different conditions. Instead of the 60 degree and sunny day of Saturday, it was 40 degrees and raining. Once again the women showed their strength as the 17-year-old Antonneau battled to 2nd place with Kristin and Linda following in 3rd and 4th. James proved he’s a true mudder and improved immensely on his previous day’s result to finish 6th. Next on the docket for the PB team is the 3 day Jingle Cross Rock in Iowa City, IA.
