Planet Bike was a proud sponsor of Recycle-A-Bicycle’s 2012 Youth Bike Summits. We are stoked that the Youth Bike Summit is returning and have signed on as a featured sponsor for the 2013 edition this February!

In Recycle-A-Bicycle ‘s eighteenth year, they’ve celebrated some encouraging growth. The Inaugural Youth Bike Summit was attended by 315 people from 24 states and 3 countries! In addition they started bike mechanics classes at 7 new schools, donated 715 kids’ bikes, and taught bike repair and bicycle safety to 1,882 NYC youth!

Seventeen year old Recycle-A-Bicycle intern, Abubakarr, captured the excitement saying, “I’ve always loved riding my bicycle, but I never know how many worlds it would take me to.”
