Winter Bike to Work Day
Posted on Feb 5th 2014 | Bike Life, Blog, Events,Bike commuters in Madison are a different breed. I’ve spent many winter mornings pedaling to work in below zero temperatures. Thanks to the efforts of Madison Bike Winter to support our local bike commuters, both fair-weather and diehard.
This morning Heath and I set up camp along the SW bike path near UW-Madison’s Camp Randall. We were joined by Clare and Griff of Madison B-Cycle. Together we formed a sanctuary smelling of sweet Cherrywood smoked Nueske’s bacon (generously provided by Nueske’s) and EVP coffee (generously provided by EVP). Though the temperatures hovered in the low teens, we greeted 40+ smiling bicycle commuters!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by or gave a friendly hello. Thank you to Nueske’s, EVP coffee, Madison B-Cycle, Bike Fed of WI, and Madison Bike Winter for supporting cycling! Be sure to check out our full photo gallery on Facebook.
